BORN THIS WAY

Bryan Thomas is the co-owner of Born This Way Body Arts located in Knoxville, Tennessee. He is proud to be a member of the Association of Professional Piercers.  He excels at a clamp-free approach to piercing, creating an intimate and culturally organic experience between himself and the client, and is well versed in all types of piercings both conventional and obscure. His technical training includes everything from genital piercings to surface anchors. The driving force behind his passion is to adorn people with the best jewelry available, and create accents for the human body’s natural aesthetics.

Bryan is also an avid cat lover with a pension to be goofy around the workplace, there is never a moment during the day where he isn’t greeting you with a smile.

Bryan is certified in Bloodborne Pathogens, First Aid, CPR, Reiki, and regularly attends the Association of Professional Piercer’s conference for continuing education.

Bryan oversees our piercing staff, but is no longer taking appointments.

Piercing Aftercare

01.

Don’t touch it!* We pierce with implant grade metals that have been polished to a mirror finish, which is perfect for your healing piercing! *Moving it around causes more trauma and a longer healing period.

02.

Keep it clean, but avoid chemical based products like soap, alcohol and peroxide. We recommend NeilMed Sterile Saline spray, used 2-3 times a day, you can purchase it at our studio or purchase it in our online store.

03.

Keep it dry. Moisture build up can lengthen healing times. Blot the piercing dry after cleaning and showers, with a disposable paper towel. A hair dryer on the cool setting can be helpful for those hard to reach areas.

04.

Follow up with your piercer! It may be necessary to adjust the length of your jewelry during the healing process. Contact your piercer immediately if problems arise…most are easy to fix!

∞ DON’T go swimming in any natural body of water or chlorinated water for at least 4 weeks.
